Business growth typically leads to the need to hire employees. An employment relationship is a relation between an employee and an employer, within which both parties have mutual rights and obligations.

One of the employer’s fundamental obligations regarding employment is maintaining and storing documentation related to the employment relationship as well as personnel files. The employer is also responsible for referring employees for medical examinations and organising Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training.

These duties must be carried out diligently, given the frequent inspections by the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP).
